The approach

Holistic Wellness Psychology is dedicated to promoting wellness through practical psychology tools and strategies. A holistic psychology approach considers multidimensional aspects of wellness and believes that people are more than simply the sum of their parts. We believe that in order to understand a person and treat their mental health it is more important to look at how all the parts work together.

Johanna is the founder of Holistic Wellness Psychology and has a profound interest in perinatal and infant mental health, women's health issues, and supporting individuals of all genders in their personal growth and wellness journey. In therapy, Johanna takes a warm, neurodiversity-affirming, and empathetic approach and tailors the interventions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. This involves evidence-based practices, psychoeducation, and holistic psychology strategies to facilitate lasting change. The modalities commonly utilised include Compassion Therapy, Schema Therapy, DBT, CBT, ACT and Mindfulness. Also EMDR on case-by-case basis as I am in training.

Your psychology appointments will either take place in-person or online via the telehealth platform. If you chose the convenience of Telehealth, it means you can access confidential and accessible psychological therapy with Johanna from the comfort of your home from anywhere in Australia.

 
 

In-person therapy in North Brisbane

Our offices are located in a beautiful and cosy therapy spaces in Albany Creek and also Arana Hills.

The Albany Creek clinic is conveniently located beside the Molten café and within the Fifth Avenue Lifestyle Complex, which features other great health and wellness businesses.

The Arana Hill psychology practice is conveniently located near the Arana Hills Shopping Complex and offers lovely private spaces for therapy.

Please note that for all locations, street parking can be found right outside the building and both are wheel chair accessible. So, grab a delicious coffee or enjoy the the variety of herbal teas we offer in our clinic when you’re in next!
